Sound Therapy Meditation
By popular request, we are adding sound therapy meditation to our audiobooks section! The current global circumstances are invoking a serious need for mindfulness and other stress relief activities. Meditation is a practice that allows one to slow down, manage stress, calm reactions, and focus on being intentional with your life habits and outcomes. In mindfulness practice, we are learning how to return to, and remain in, the present moment - to anchor ourselves in the here and now on purpose, without judgement.
Start with the life force of controlled breathing within you, also known in yoga culture as Prana. The journey outlined in the Sound Therapy Meditation section guides you through various breathing exercises and techniques - all prerequisites for a productive meditation session. Beginning practitioners can lay down or sit up in a seated position for meditating. Over-the-ear headphones are suggested, but not required. At a very minimum, headphones are needed and a blind fold if you choose. Try to choose a space that is quiet with no distractions and know that one day you will be able to meditate with your eyes closed in the middle of Times Square in New York City.
There are many approaches to meditation and this library of Sound Therapy is one of numerous to eventually integrate into the TV.FIT app. Meditation is a very personal and unique practice, allowing you to search within for answers to life’s many questions. We hope that the binaural beats and breath work refinement help you achieve a better day and ultimately- a better quality life!
